Ferrari has once again succeeded in launching a new supercar with unprecedented success with the introduction of the Purosangue.
Where other supercar manufacturers abandoned their faith and passion and are increasingly looking for a mix of smaller combustion engines with turbos and electro support, Ferrari continues to offer the real passion to us with a 6.5 liter V12! No roaring sounds from the many audio speakers but authentic whine and roar through the open windows.
The V12 is the heart of the car and in the past Enzo Ferrari’s thesis was: the engine is what you buy, the car you get for free. But this is now history. The Purosangue is a car with qualities of the highest imaginable standard in terms of design, comfort, exclusive details and of course the famous and mighty atmospheric 12 -cylinder in the front. The 6.5-liter atmospheric V12 is a magnificent work of art that is also basically mounted in the 812 Superfast, the Monza SP series.
The Purosangue’s V12 revs up to 8,250 rpm, which is the highest engine speed in a SU….V, and you can feel, hear and experience the character of this power source in every seat in the car. The Purosangue is the only atmospheric V12-SUV on the world market and will remain very exclusive due to Ferrrari’s limited production. Power comes out to 533 kW or 725 hp, backed by an impressive 716 Nm of torque.
Ferrari also uses a new generation eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. A separate system dosedly brings the right amount of power to the front wheels, allowing the Purosangue to be driven on all wheels. The 6.5-liter V12 powerplant is located up front, behind the front axle. In effect, then, the Purosangue is a Ferrari with a mid-engine. With the main transmission at the rear and the front-wheel drive system in front of the engine, Ferrari has managed to achieve an excellent balance with a weight distribution of 49% front and 51% rear.
The Ferrari Purosangue drives very dynamically and has excellent balance even under extreme conditions. It is incredibly fast with 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 10.6 seconds. It provides a driving experience comparable to earlier lower and wide V12 sports cars, such as the Ferrari F12 and the 812. On command, it responds quickly and aggressively, but if desired, it is also composed, comfortable and gives you a luxurious feeling.
The Purosangue is strikingly distinguished from the other brands by its fully automatic rear doors, which open gracefully, quietly and stylishly, counterclockwise at the push of a button. This door design makes entering and exiting the rear significantly easier and provides a view of the stunning cognac-colored full-leather interior. The special design choice for the doors adds extra exclusivity to the car and makes charming entry and exit very easy. Despite the enormous power of the Purosangue, the driver of PassionWithoutLimits will drive you relaxed and chic to your desired location. Striking is the combination of the special color, Magma Rosso, of the bodywork and the cognac color of the chicue leather interior.
