Videoshoot The Launch – Aston Martin DBS

Where we have been hiring skilled photographers to capture our fleet from the beginning of our business, we are now going to add videography to this.
So a while ago we were put in touch with Christian Kalse. He is an experienced photographer and videographer, and after seeing his work, we knew we were in the right place. We discussed the possibilities and conditions, and the first shoot was scheduled on a Monday. This day would revolve entirely around the Aston Martin DBS that you can rent from us for your wedding. In order to give you an insight into such a day of filming, we decided to also have our photographer Thomas van Rooij join us.
In terms of timing, perhaps we should have come up with this idea earlier. After all, the weather in the Netherlands right now is not really something you can depend on outside of summer. Where the weather was supposed to be alternately cloudy last Monday, the clouds turned out to be largely dominant. Fortunately, it did stay dry and we were able to shoot all the planned images.
We began Monday morning by filming the awakening of our British supercar. Starting this 6L V12 engine remains an impressive experience. The loud roar brings the engine to life and this what a pleasure to capture.
After filming all the relevant shots for this part of the video, we moved to the second location. On a quiet parking deck, we filmed some more detail footage of the black beauty. Then we used our Audi TTS Roadster as a camera car for the first driving footage.
For the final result, we needed more riding footage, so we left the parking deck and drove another stretch to the next location. Here we were able to shoot driving footage in peace. We drove the Aston Martin DBS past the roadside camera, took images from the camera car and made sure we shot all the footage we needed.
By the end of the afternoon, the work was done. A whole day of filming resulted in a beautiful video of only 1 to 2 minutes, but in which you can admire the Aston Martin in full glory:
